Come visit our beautiful Cedar gallery on the Pacific Rim highway heading out of Port Alberni towards Tofino (hwy 4) on Vancouver Island. Ahtsik Native Art Gallery opened December 13th 2008. I am, Gordon Dick, the Artist and Owner of Ahtsik Native Art Gallery. I carved the Kingfisher design of the front entrance as well as the Eagle and Wolf posts that represent my Grandparents. You are welcome to come and see me create original Northwest Coast Art inside the gallery. In warmer months, you can come and see larger Wood projects being carved just outside the gallery, such as a totem pole. I sell many other local First Nations Artists’ Canadian Indian Art work from World Renowned to up and coming. Commissions are accepted.

| Biography: | Kim Leming is Cree from Lac La Ronge, Saskatchewan, but has lived most of her life in British Columbia. She first became interested in photography at the age of 10 making annual trips to Manitoba. Throughout her life she has been interested in the outdoors and photographed various areas that she’s seen through her travels. After completing a diploma in Fish & Wildlife, Grassland & Recreation and Business from NVIT, and working several years at Friendship Centres in various youth programs, Kim decided to go back to school to complete the Professional Photography Program at NIC. “I have always loved wildlife & landscape photography, challenging my self to expand my artistic vision through several different media to create unique images. I love the freedom of working with photos and manipulating them into pieces that are whimsical and explore a scene or subject to allow the viewer to engage the possibilities implied by each scene.” |
